GPFA facilitates quarterly member meetings, including an annual in-person meeting that shifts its location and host.

Beyond our regular quarterly meetings, we also conduct numerous specialized meetings covering a diverse spectrum of subjects.  These meetings and their agendas are member-led and span a wide range of topics related to securities lending, repo, collateral management, financing and leverage, or broader treasury management functions.  In addition, GPFA members have brought forward discussion topics on asset allocation, technology, regulation, credit and risk, legal documentation, corporate governance, and other areas important to beneficial owner businesses.

Given our global reach, we make concerted efforts to accommodate participants across various time zones interested in engaging with our meetings.

GPFA seeks to engage beneficial owners in the securities financing market through GPFA hosted events and meetings and in partnership with other industry associations and conferences offered to our marketplace.

GPFA typically supports or promotes closed-door beneficial owner meetings at relevant industry events.

GPFA Beneficial Owner Meeting During Week of CASLA

Wednesday, 5 June 2024

In advance of the Canadian Securities Lending Association’s Annual Conference on Securities Lending in June, GPFA is hosting an in-person meeting for GPFA members and other beneficial owner friends in Toronto the afternoon prior on Wednesday, 5 June 2024 from 2:30pm – 4:30pm. The meeting will be held at one of our pension member offices in downtown Toronto. Please reach out if you would like to attend or get involved.

We are honoured to have Toni Gravelle, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada join us for a private and off-the-record Q&A session.  Following our guest presentation, we will engage in a GPFA membership discussion.

All GPFA members are welcome, however we will be limiting attendance to 60 guests.
