Regulatory changes continue to impact securities finance and keeping current on these issues requires expert guidance. GPFA is fortunate to have Trevor Noronha from HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) leading our Legal and Regulatory working group. During our Annual Meeting this week, Trevor and one of our Board of Directors, Lisa Mantello from Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP were joined by Miki Navazio from Seward & Kissel LLP to provide an educational session on some of the most relevant regulatory changes facing our marketplace. Thank you all for making time for our global beneficial owner members.

Understanding the geopolitical landscape is crucial to navigating the global capital markets. Our keynote speakers expertly walked us through the global conflict regions and left us with much to consider and debate. Thank you to General Michael Groen, General James Spider Marks, and Seth Rosenthal from Academy Securities and Academy Asset Management. We appreciate the time you gave to our global institutional investor members and we thank you for your years of service and commitment to educating groups like ours. Thank you to Pacific Life and Lance Doherty for connecting us to the team!

So much to discuss. Beneficial owners turn up for one another. Four years in and this global asset owner association of nearly 40 members, representing a combined asset base of nearly $14 trillion, showed up today with a common interest to support the health and transparency of our marketplace. Today was a great day and tomorrow should be even better, together. Thank you to Pacific Life for the tremendous hospitality. We are excited to continue the momentum!
