Charles Lesaux joined BCI as head of Funding in January 2025.  With $251.6 billion of managed assets, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is the provider of investment management services for British Columbia’s public sector and one of the largest asset managers in Canada. Prior to joining BCI, Charles gained 20 years of experience across capital markets’ funding businesses.  He has been an active participant across many industry initiatives including the IIAC Repo Committee, CASLA, and now with the Global Peer Financing Association (GPFA).  In 2023, Charles was asked to co-chair a BA related working group that was setup by the Bank of Canada under CFIF to assist with CDOR cessation.

A proud champion of diversity and community, Charles actively supports community as both a volunteer and supporter with Outside Looking In, The Children’s Book Bank, SickKids Hospital and the United Way of Greater Toronto.  Charles is a graduate of McGill University, and he holds an MBA from Rotman School of Management.
